Our History A small group of artists, guided by Warren Fuller, started meeting in March 1963 and showing their artwork at a Goleta bank. Douglas Parshall was elected as the first president. From its first meeting place in the office of the Goleta Valley Chamber of Commerce to its present day site at the Goleta Valley Public Library, the Association has grown from 16 members to over 230 members. The Association continues to bring together people with an interest in art. Through monthly exhibits and critiques at the Goleta Valley Public Library, shows at the Hutton Foundation buildings, Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, Festival of Art outdoors in September at Stow House, and Artists' Studio Tour in May,the Association shares its love of art with the community. |
